How does it work?
Choose what work you would like to carry out and add it to your basket. And order as you usually would with any online business. When you enter your delivery address, please ensure it is the address you want your tool to be collected from and returned to.
Important – we offer an extended liability collection and delivery service via DPD. Please make sure your tool (and any jaws/slings/adaptors/batteries – if you ordered those inspection as well) is boxed in packaging that can withstand the weight and movement of your press tool during transit. DPD will label your box; you don’t need to do anything other than ensure the package is ready for collection.
You will receive a phone call from the Plumbing for Less sales team after you place your order to confirm the details of your order, and they will also confirm a date for the collection of your tool.
From there, providing there are no issues with your press gun, you’ll be looking at a turnaround of around 5 working days, then we’ll get your press tool back out to you.
What is a NOVOPRESS Press Tool Service, and what does it include?
Our Plumbing for Less NOVOPRESS Press Tool Service includes calibration and inspection of your tool, plus an oil change and cleanup. It is worth getting this service if you have been using your press gun for two years or more. If you have bought a press tool second-hand, we would also advise getting it serviced, as you don’t know how well it was used before.
Knowing the difference between Calibration and Inspection.
Calibration – this option checks that your press tool is using the correct force for accurate pressing. Your tool will be pressed x 20 times on our NOVOPRESS calibration machine. You will get a calibration certificate if your tool passes, which all manufacturers of press fittings require to maintain warranties. Importantly, a calibration will NOT tell you whether your tool has any faults, and press tools can pass calibration even with faults. We advise that this would be a good practice to have done yearly.
Inspection – this option checks whether your tool has any faults. Our NOVOPRESS trained and certified engineer will take your tool apart, checking all details within the press tool looking for faults. Any repairs that need to be carried out are NOT included in the inspection and are charged extra. These extra charges are optional; we will send you the cost details, and you can choose not to have the work done. We will then return your press tool back to you.
What do you get for a press jaw, sling or adaptor inspection?
These inspections include cleaning and regreasing your press jaw, sling, or adaptor, and we will look for any faults with your item. Again, any repairs will not be included with your inspection. In some cases, jaws and slings may not be repaired due to wear and tear from prolonged usage.
