The Automatic By-Pass Valve is an essential fitting to the central heating system if the boiler does not have a automatic bypass fitted internally. AnAutomatic By-Pass Valve is fitted between the flow and return to ensure the central heating maintains a minimum flow rate on systems that have thermostaic valves fitted.
If a new central heating system or thermostatic valves are installed and you are experiencing banging or any other loud noise then fitting the Automatic By-Pass Valve usually will stop this loud banging noise and correct the circulation of the central heating system.
