Duct Tape
This type of tape is a pressure sensitive tape that is often cloaked with polyethylene. One variation of this is gaffer tape which is designed to be cleanly removed, unlike standard duct tape. You also have heat resistant duct tape which is useful for sealing heating, ventilation and air conditioning ducts. Duct tape is very good for covering holes in pipes or plumbing, and keeping it sealed for short periods of time.
Masking Tape
Also known as sticky tape, masking tape is a type of pressure sensitive tape made of a thin and easy to rip paper. It also acts as an easily released pressure sensitive adhesive. It is also available in a variety of widths. Mainly used in painting or masking off areas you don’t want to damage or stain. It allows you to stick it pretty much wherever you need and when pulling it off it would leave marks or residue behind.
PTFE Tape
PTFE tape or also known as thread seal tape is used for sealing pipe threads. The tape is sold or cut to specific widths and wound on a spool, making it as easy as possible to wrap around pipe threads. PFTE Tape lubricates allowing for a deeper seating of threads and it helps prevents the threads from seizing when being unscrewed.
Dust Sheets
Dust sheets are a must when doing work over furniture, carpets and anything valuable. This eliminates any worry of mess, and keeping your home clean whilst carrying put some well needed maintenance.
